Flashing Lights......

08 September, 2009

Thursday the 10th sees the launch of the first ever Fashion's Night Out, an evening of fashion filled fun, all over the world designers, department stores, high-street chains and boutiques will come together to celebrate the fun of fashion. The fun starts from 6pm- Midnight, and includes fashion shows, makeovers, previews and loads and loads of goody bags.

I've seen a lot about this, it sounds really fun, but I probably won't go as I know I'll end buying everything I see, but for those of you who were thinking of going, I would definitely recommend it, over the last week I've been getting emails from different highstreet shops, Topshop are holding a large event with lots of chocolate and goody bags, as are Selfridges, and Browns are bringing in Designers such as Henry Holland and Christopher Kane to help run the stores.

Vogue have also commissioned some t-shirts to help commemorate the night, if looking at your bank statement wasn't enough. 100% proceeds of the from the sales of the shirts go towards a 9/11 charity.

This is the UK one, its vile isn't it? I think I'd much rather just give the money direct to the charity.

The New York one is much nicer, it shows a monochrome New York skyline; very fitting tribute for the respective charities. I don't see why we couldn't have this instead of that ^ crap.

There are also loads of discounts to be had, All Saints are giving 20% off,so are DKNY and Topshop , and alot of exclusive stuff up for grabs, in all it's a great event, and by taking part you're doing your bit to help boost the economy.

For a longer list of involved retailers and all of the planned events, go to Vogue.
