Cheap 'N' Nasty

25 September, 2010

One of my favourite stores ever, Nasty Gal have just started their end of summer sale. Below is just a fraction of some of the goodies available at the store at up to 80% off. There's loads of lace and denim to be found in the sale and quite a few transitional pieces which could still work well in the upcoming winter months, all of  which can be found here.

For those who don't know, Nasty Gal has been around for 4 years now, it started off as an Ebay store specialising in vintage clothes and accessories, and in 2009, they upped sticks and started their very own online store which as well as showcasing their own vintage favs, also sells their very own hand picked selection of the best fashion- forward womenswear brands  including Jeffrey Campbell, Mink Pink, Evil Twin, BB Dakota, Motel and Cheap Monday as well as their own  in house label stuff.

I'm  gutted the A.Wang "inspired"  Jefferey Campbell Morrow boots  (bottom left corner) are no longer available in my size anymore,  but I'm not surprised, they were on sale with $100 taken off.

It's basically you very own one-stop shop for all things fly, and can be found here. And if you get your hands on anything, don't forget to share!

PS: Is it just me, or does the blonde model look remarkably like Dakota Fanning?

Primark's Womenswear Winter 2010 Collection

20 September, 2010

The colour pallet for this collection seems to be much more muted than their previous Autumn collection, made up mostly of cream's, beige's, taupe's and the odd white and black thrown in for good measure. The collection it's self is, to be honest just a bit blah for me, Primark's promo shots always leave me a bit disappointed because I know their product turnover is so fast that it's near impossible to actually find them in the stores.but nonetheless, there are actually quite a few exciting pieces in there.

Belted aviator £25 due in store end September, Hareem pants £11 due in store end September, chunky knit snood £4 due in store end September, knee high sock £2 in store now, Military peep toe ankle boot £15 in store now.

First and foremost is this seasons must have, the Aviator jacket, every high street fashion store worth it's salt has released their own versions with prices starting at around £70, but Primark being Primark have managed to knock out a very descent version of their own for only £25! I had a feeling they would bring one out, but had no idea it would be such good quality, intricate belt and zip detailing make it look worth much more than it's £25,  fingers crossed I may be able to get my hands on this beauty. The jacket should be in-store at the end of September, and if you're lucky enough to come across one I would snap it up straight away as I can see these selling out very quickly and ending up all over Ebay at prices rivalling Burberry's!

Seeing Red...

Nicola and Keisha Buchuman at S/S '11 Fashion Fringe show

Forget Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts is without doubt Girls Aloud real style icon, slowly but steadily, Nicola has come into her own with a look which is mixes 50s and 60s glamour with Gothic accents and just a sprinkling of Rock-chic for luck.

Her look at the S/S '11 Fringe Fashion show has been one of my favourite Celebrity looks of LFW so far with a Topshop Unique monochrome maxi dress, high-necked and long sleeved, the only visible parts of her controversial Porcelain skin where her hands and face, and when teamed with her newly darkened trademark Paprika coloured locs and a simple gold chain were the perfect accessories.

So I thought I'd give you guys a look at some of my favourite looks from Ms Roberts, love to know what do you guys think.

Say what you want about her, but you can't deny that she her new style is one which manages to look effortless and natural whilst still managing to effortlessly persevere her delicate, china-doll like demeanour, I can't wait to see what she's got planned next.
